The Power of Introspection
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom
A person who knowns oneself can walk towards the path of enlightenment and goal fulfilment with more clarity and confidence. Practicing introspection allows us to identify patterns and maladaptive habits in our life and understanding how and why they impact us. And once we have identified negative patterns and established their causes, we can set a plan of action to stop repeating them. So, how can we introspect and walk towards the path of self awareness and enlightenment. Well, there are many evidence based strategies for that. First is, Journaling, that is, writing down what you experience and how you feel which will ultimately help us to gain an insight about how and why we behave and feel about different situations in our life. Second is Meditation , which allows you to spend time with yourself and understand your thoughts better without you trying to escape from your real self. Thirdly, Asking questions to yourself like: “Am I using my time wisely, Am I being true to myself, What prevents me from achieving my goals?” Answering these questions will help us to introspect more and will guide us in the right direction which will enhance self improvement and self awareness.
Hence, introspect and make more informed decisions and no one can stop you from achieving your goals in your life.
