D.E.A.R. stands for “Drop Everything and Read,” a national celebration of reading designed to remind every individual to make reading a prime important activity in their lives. The DEAR program enlists the homeroom facilitator’s assistance to guide students through books of a wide array of genres, titles and time-periods. The DEAR program inspires in our students a deep and enduring love for reading and literature that leaves a lasting imprint on their lives.
We strongly believe that helping a child to develop a love for reading is very important and essential. If a child develops a love for reading at a very young age it will remain a life-long habit and for sure they will pass the same to the future generations.
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
