CLUBS
Various clubs form an interesting part of the growing adolescents at RIMT. A range of specially designed co-scholastic activities are being organized by professionals to provide our students with an opportunity to nurture their interests and hone them by acquiring the required skills. This will not only help them pursue their hobbies in a constructive manner, but also help them to improve their academic achievements.
Public Speaking
The club helps prepare the students for debates, declamations, MUNs. This helps students improve their communication skills and gain confidence in public speaking.
Environment
The club encourages students to identify, learn about and adopt sustainable practices that help conserve the environment. The club also provides a platform for students to take considered action through awareness campaigns, movements and drives that aim to sensitize the local community about the need to go green.
Information Technology
The main objectives of the IT club are to keep the students abreast with the latest developments in IT sector apart from the regular IT syllabus. It gives them practical hands on experience and enhances their analytical and logical skills. The club helps the students to bring out the best in students and grooms individual’s capacities/potentials by providing an environment to work independently.
Dance
This dance club is to boost up the morale of students and to highlight the talent of dance and creativity. It provides opportunities to dance lovers to prove their talent and it is a good platform for them to have their artistic exploration.
Photography
This club allows students to learn about and enjoy photography. Beginners and experts are welcome to explore the world of photography.
MUN (Model United Nations)
The Model United Nations Club gives students hands-on experiences of simulating the proceedings of the UNO, through discussion and deliberation. Students learn the Rules of Procedure in a practical way and engage with issues of global concern. Mock MUNs also prepare them to tackle MUNs at the school level.
Instrumental Music
RIMT World School nurtures students who are musically inclined through this club. The club accommodates and cultivates a diverse range of musical tastes and provides opportunities to learn to play instruments.
Mass Media
The RIMTWS Mass Media Club is a community for students who are passionate about the media industry. The main objective of theclub is to empower the media aspirantswith creative talents. Towards this end, the club regularly provides several opportunities to understand the latest developments in the media scenario, both in style and content.
Dramatics
The Drama Club is dedicated to bringing the joy and power of Drama to students by providing high quality dramatic programming. It pledges to offer participants the chance to experience the excitement and rewards of theatre arts while developing poise, social skills, confidence and the ability to work with others.
Art & Craft
Art & Craft club is a platform to develop aesthetic values and enhance the creative skills and artistic talents of students
Science Club
The club has an objective to better understand scientific knowledge through science experiments. To allow students to work in the field of their interest and hone their skills in presentation. It fosters curiosity and gives them a medium to get their hands-on practice. Science generates solutions for everyday life and helps us to answer the great mysteries of the life and universe.
Life Skills
Life skills are essentially those abilities that help promote overall wellbeing and competence in young people as they face the realities of life.In order to help our students to adapt and adjust well with the changing demands of society, the school emphasizes on life skills education as an integral part of entire education system.
Heritage
Heritage is a conceptual identity of an area which includes not only built tangible Heritage but has intangible aspects like its language, lifestyles, ceremonies, festivities, work cultures inherent / specific of a community. To promote its awareness and involvement in Heritage and to inculcate a respect for diversity Heritage club has been initiated. It also cultivates ‘Human Values’ among students by means of organizing games, activities and workshops thus teaching them the integrity of the moral values.
Chess Club
The Chess Club provides students with a place to learn and play chess at school. Participation in this activity helps improve critical and abstract thinking, planning, logic, and analysis. In addition, students will improve his/her ability to concentrate and learn the value of good sportsmanship. Also, studies have shown that chess can help students improve their school grades.
Reading
Reading being a powerful learning experience is the key to children’s early success. With a motive to enhance the reading skills, their vocabulary and to revive the diminishing interest among the students we have organized the Readers club.
Cookery
Students learn about kitchen hygiene, health and safety, safe food handling and storage, and of course, how to follow a recipe and create their own delicious and healthy food.
